The battery usage shows no apps draining, everything looks totally normal, the battery just simply doesn't last. Typical usage before shutdown is maybe 90 minutes screen on time and 60 minutes voice calls. Battery % will drop rapidly until shutdown and then when rebooted, it occasionally pops up to 70% and lasts a 'reasonable' amount of time. I am now lucky to get 90 minutes of screen on time and sometimes the battery behaves strangely. I'm actually slower on the KeyOne than when I borrow a friend's touch screen phone.I received an early KeyOne back in May of 2017 and have been a heavy user (no games, just voice and endless messaging/email for work) and battery life has been super until about a month ago when it fell off a cliff. The touch keyboards are better than they were when I migrated to the Pro+ for a much better feel and typing speed. I first discovered keyboard smartphones with the Motorola Pro+, then I migrated to Blackberry's Q10 then Classic and finally KeyOne. Typing was never as intuitive or easy as with the Classic. Some other keys would have the same issues (if I recall, I had troubles with the A key as well).Īlthough for most of the time, I never had the common issue of accidentally hitting the home, back or switch app buttons while typing, towards the end, it became more prevalent. Some other issues crept up like ghost swiping on the physical touch keyboard, space bar not registering clicks and needing to be pressed extra hard (first notice in 2019). Suspect could've been because of third party phone case that phone was in since I bought it that could've been pressing the power button slightly, causing a permanent wear on the "elastic" portion of the spring button.
Had issues with cyclical booting twice (first time resolved maybe February-March 2020, second time spelled its doom yesterday).
